Hello all! So much has happened these past few months but the most exciting was the Barclay family reunion! It was so wonderful to see all of the family! I had not seen most of them for over 12 years, and John and Avery had only met the few that came to the weddings. It was very nice that they were finally able to meet the whole family =) It was in Cape Cod, Massachusetts and I loved every minute of it! Each family stayed within 15 minutes of each other at different houses and we met up everyday at night or in the afternoon. It was nice because then we could do our own thing and then meet up with the rest of the family later =) My mom, Jenn, John & I all headed up there on Saturday morning and arrived around 6 that night. The next day we went to the beach!! Ohhh it was SO NICE =) I got badly sunburned though .... so not happy about that =( That night we went over to see the rest of the family. That day we had found out that my Aunt Barb fell down the stairs and broke 2 bones in her leg the day before and had to go to the hospital and have surgery! It was so sad, but she was a trooper! She came home Tuesday night and that is when we got to see her. She was still her perky self, even with a big cast on her leg! It was so sweet seeing all of them. Everyone loves John, but I mean how can you not love him! lol. Anyways, we just hung out and caught up with what everyone was up too. The next night Dad & Avery arrived. We mainly hung out that day and then my Uncle Jeff & Aunt Irene came over and hung out with us for awhile at night. The next day we went back to the beach and met up with my cousins Jimmy and Matt and their wives Jess & Bertina. Matt & Jess's little boy Grant (who is around 14 months) went in the water with his daddy. He was so stinking cute! He has his little boat and just kept splashing away. It was adorable! He is a happy baby, all the time! That night we went mini golfing to the same place we went at the last family reunion. It was a blast! I got a hole-in-one the first shot, and then it all went downhill after that, lol. It was a fun game though. The family was split into 3 teams and I have a feeling we annoyed the other people there because we kept yelling to each other from each hole. We are a very loud family, but it is awesome! We went to ice cream as a family after mini golf. The rest of the week was about the same, we went shopping on one of the days that it was really windy. I got some really cute shirts & a pair of sweatpants & a sweatshirt. It was all not that expensive considering it was down at the beach, which was nice! The last day we were there the whole family went out to the beach together, and we even got Aunt Barb on the beach! Her family pushed her from their house (which was up the street from the beach, so not far) all the way down onto the sand where we were. She was so happy to be there, finally! It was such a sweet way to end our last day at the beach. The week was wonderful. So many new memories were made, and I cannot wait to see them all again soon!
