Hello Friends!
So much has happened since we last updated! Of course Christmas passed, and it was so lovely! Jenn & Avery were able to come into town! It was so nice to have my sister here. They got to come over to our apartment one night, and we we went out to dinner, and then came back and played fun games! John & I both had off between Christmas & New years, so we were able to go spend time with my family a lot! We spent Christmas Eve with his parents, and it was awesome! We went caroling, and only ended up caroling to one person, the other's were not home. We ate such a yummy (&different kind of) Christmas dinner! They opened up their gifts which were candles that John & I made for them, and the loved them! I was so HAPPY!
It was so wonderful to be able to spend most of the day with them. The next day we were off to my parents! In the morning John & I opened up our own stockings & 1 large present to each other at our apartment. It was so fun to do this, and we plan on doing this every year! It will be our own little tradition! I was VERY happy with the present John made me open! It was a new jacket that I wanted SO BADLY! Basically, he spoils me, & i love it! =) Anyways, after that we went to my parents and waited for Jenn & Avery to arrive. Their plane did not come in until 430 that afternoon, so Christmas presents and Christmas dinner did not happen until around 6. It was kind of nice though, it made Christmas go on longer! The rest of the week was pretty relaxing, minus one night when my daddy was rushed to the hospital! He was getting super bad pains, and it ended up being gall stones =( They could not do the surgery because he had a super bad cold, so we are just waiting for him to get over that so he can get them removed. For now he is okay, and is eating no fat at all, so he does not get any pain. It was so scary though! Hmmm .... we did a lot of shopping that week too! John & I had saved up all of our change through out the year and ended up with a lot of money, so we used that to splurge a little. It was a nice little reward at the end of the year.
New Years eve was nothing special. We just hung out at my parents and then came back here around 10pm, so we could watch the shows and ring in the new year with just each other! We bought sparkling cider, and i used John's wine cup he got from work (haha) and had much fun with it! We felt all cool drinking our cider! We cheered to a very happy new year, and to what this year will bring!
Update on work for me, I was moved to a different classroom =( Nothing bad happened, they just needed to switch it up a bit. I miss my babies, but I love working with my 2-3 year olds! Its fun to actually have convo's with them! haha. I am definitely still exhausted when I get home, but it's very different then working with the babies!
